Looking for a good book club to sign my mother up for Christmas. She is in her early 50's and likes a variety of genres. They would need to send books via mail and have a forum for discussion.

There is something here for everyone - groups for women as well among others. All genres of books too so your Mother should find herself busy when she is logged in and on the boards.

What are some good books to read for young adults kinda similiar plots to the mortal instruments?

Books like the mortal instruments, clockwork angel, kinda fantasy books with romance and action. I also wouldnt mind readin books similiar to the hunger games.

I agree with the other book suggestions and would also add:
Unwind by Neal Shusterman. Three teens - Connor, Risa, and Lev - run for their lives when they find out they on the list to be "unwound". Good dystopian thriller!

The Maze Runner by James Dashner. A teenage wakes up with no memory of who he is and finds himself locked in a camp with no escape.
