greatest books turned into movies image
Michael
Everyone knows all the books that have been turned into movies. But, can you please help me to compile a list of the great movies that have been adapted into books?
Usually, this is something the studios will quickly to do capitalize on a film being released into theaters. For instance, I know 12 Monkeys received such an adaptation. I'm specifically looking for thrillers and mysteries and anything in that kind of genre.
Thank you for your help. For some reason this topic is very difficult to research online. So, if you find some useful links and resources I would love to see what they are also. :)

I'm bored and never see this question on Yahoo! Answers so...
Books I want to be movies or a TV show are...
The Warrior Cats series
The Skinjackers Trilogy
The Gone series
Sammy Keyes
Unwind
The Last survivers series
The Darkest Powers series
There is more to the list but this all I can think of at the moment
so what books do you want to be turned into movies or TV shows?
Answer
I might want a movie adaption for Warrior Cats by Erin Hunter, but they might mess it up really, really badly- you know, make the Warriors have stupid voices, cut out a bunch of key parts and characters, and make it into a little kid's movie!
And although there's been a Canadian TV adaption for Silverwing by Kenneth Oppel, I think if they did a movie for each book, that'd be sooo amazing.
(Since in the TV adaption, the bats were rainbow colors and they had human hair on their heads 0_O Darn Canadians!)
Most of all, I'd love to see "The Named" by Clare Bell turned into a movie (one for each book)! They could make it look great with all that CGI they have nowadays! Of course that'd be five movies, but still...at least make two movies! PLEASEEEEEE!
Pah, but that will never happen :'(
Because most directers don't know where the money is, and because they spend all their time making gross movies with actors that just CAN'T go on five minutes without taking their clothes off! >:(
It'd even be nice if Promise of the Wolves by Dorothy Hearst was a movie. Again, CGI can do wonders.
If they made four darned movies for each book in the Twilight saga, they can make some of these! But they never do!
And if they made like 13 different versions and parts for those Jason X movies, you think they could start looking at the popular book series out there and think, "Hmmm, that'd make a good movie!"
I hope you enjoyed my rant! XD
