What does priority to continuing 8th graders mean?

LOL I know it's a pretty dumb question and all but what doses it mean? I was looking through the high school book and the admission priorities on my most wanted to go high school says 1) Priority to continuing 8th graders.... what dose that mean? Thanks a ton!

The high school that you are interested in probably also has a middle school. The 8th graders currently attending the middle school will have priority over students applying from other schools.

I am an 8th grader at about the top of my class. I get 4.0s and read at easily a high school level. I'm not trying to sound obnoxious, just informing. However, recently, I've stopped reading so much. We need a book we haven't read before for our English class, and it has to be within our reading level and something we will enjoy.

So what would be some good books for me? I REALLY like medieval stories. Not so much like the Hobbit or LotR, but like A Game of Thrones (my favorite book/series ever), where it is mostly about more realistic ideas with just a loose connection to myth every once and a while, not revolving around it like the first 2 books I mentioned. I also like the Hunger Games series, not really the post-apocalyptic aspect, but the teenage adventure aspect (also why I liked the Percy Jackson and Harry Potter series).

So if anyone could throw out some ideas, I'd greatly appreciate it!

You need to read Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell!!! It it such a good book and it is advanced level. It's about one thousand pages. It takes place during the Civil War period but it's not only about war, It has betrayal, war, courage, heroes, and it's like the perfect novel. At first it looked like it would be boring but it's seriously not. Read it!! :D Hope this helps!!!!!!
