Surely everyone knows this was set using PED's. It has stood since 1990. It was broken 12 times in the 20 years prior to the current record, then nothing. The holder went on to be caught for steroids twice. The first time was 4 months after he set his record.

I see what you're getting at, but I'm torn between doing it or not. I agree that world record, like I'm sure many others, is "dirty". But my problem is how far back the record was "clean". I'm reading a book called "Rome 1960" by David Maraniss, in which a Danish cyclist named Jensen died from a complications resulting from PED use.

At the very least, we should put an asterisk next to all records set when steroids were widely believed to be used, like what happened to Roger Maris' home run record.

What are some good science-fiction and fantasy books?

I need some good books to read. I generally enjoy reading science-fiction and fantasy books. Some of my favorite books are the Inheritance Series by Christopher Paolini, the Shadow Children series by Margaret Peterson Haddix, and the Everest, Island, Kidnapped, and Dive series by Gordon Korman.

Its even better if you are POLISH as the main character is as well!
This was an eye opening look at how technology could transform a society, and gave some very good descriptions of simple improvements that lead to our own industrial revolution.
I guess you can tell I loved these books.
