My book says that 6 months old baby should sit without support and stand holding on to someone or something?
My baby will be 6 months old in one week. He can sit only supported and he can not stand holding to something at all.
Is my baby far behind?

Answer
No, your baby is not behind at all. This is just the age when some babies start doing these things. Neither of my daughters could sit without support until closer to 8 months. At 7 months, I could put them in a sitting position and they might be able to stay upright for maybe a minute, but they'd still topple over. About 8 months is when they could sit without support for a long period of time.

Standing holding onto someone/something...that depends how you mean. Most babies can stand with you holding their hands for a few seconds at 6 months. But to actually stand knowing they need to hold you for help doesn't come until later. Pulling up to stand happens even later than that.

How to get my 6 month old twin boys to sleep through the night?

m&mTwinsMo

I have tried everything from cereal in the bottle, baby food before bed, keeping them up late, and the bath bottle book bed routine. I tried putting them in the same crib then separate cribs. NOTHING has worked. I have two twin 6 month old boys and neither one sleeps through the night. They wake up at least twice every night. I havenât had a full nights rest in 6 months HELP!!!!

Answer
Unfortunately, some kids just don't sleep all the way through the night until they are older.

What worked for our twins was to first get them on the same feeding schedule - we would always feed them at the same time (or back to back if just one of us was home). If it was time to eat, we would wake the sleeping twin and feed them both even though people say "don't wake a sleeping baby".

After that, they just sort of fell into a schedule. At this point, they have cereal around 7PM, bottle at 8:30PM, to bed by 9PM and sleep until about 6AM. One of them still gets a bit fussy during the night - not every night but a few nights a week - our twins seem to take turns, but we usually get away with just giving him/her the binky, turning on the white noise machine and right back to bed.

Good luck!
