How did/do you entertain your 3 month old? My son has no interest in toys, but we read, do tummy time, go for walks and stuff. What did you do?
Answer
I remember asking the exact same question. I felt like I was boring my baby, or not engaging her enough. Besides the obvious:
read books
sing songs
carry your baby in a sling facing out and go about your day describing everything you do. Go see art. You will be amazed how easily babies learn.
You already said go for walks.
buy the "your baby can read" (dvds only not the whole expensive set) (see link below) They recommend beginning at 3 months. My 14 month old has a 30 word vocabulary. The average is 1 to 4 words at this age. I'm an educator, so I'm very verbal and descriptive, but these videos have done wonders.
I would avoid other t.v. for a while.
And last but not least, because you are asking this question, it's obvious you're a great mom. You'll be amazed how in a matter of months you will be playing with each other and you won't wonder for a second how to entertain him. Enjoy the ride :)

Is it normal for my 3 month old to sleep through the entire night?
peanuttpuf
I have read many books and talked to a lot of mom's who warned me that it would be months and months until I would be able to get a good nights sleep. My son just turned 3 months old and for the past 2 weeks, he's been consistantly falling asleep between 10pm - 11pm and sleeping all the way through until 7am - 8am. Of course I am thrilled that he does this and allows me to sleep, but is this normal or am I a lucky mom? Thanks!
Answer
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!! My son nor my daughter would sleep through the night until 10-11 months. My son still gets up and climbs in my bed every night and he will be 3 in 1 week.
Dont worry. If your baby needs to eat trust me he/she will let you know. That crying sound means FEED ME!! Im kinda jealous. Dont wake the baby. Hopefully this isnt a phase and this will continue. You can now go back to "having fun" at night. Im sure your husband will be pleased.
