I'm thinking about making an "About Me" book for my kindergarten class this way I can get to know them a little better. I"m a student teacher and I'm just trying to think what questions for them that they will be able to answer. Any ideas? Please list all of the questions you can think of..also some that include them to draw a picture. School starts Tuesday and I'm hoping to have the little book done by then.
Answer
just simple questions like
what's your favorite animal/color/sport or activity.
what food do you like?
if you could have a cool super power what would it be?
favorite cartoon?
do you have pets?
I think that they can draw a little sketch with each question :)
(except for the super power questioin)

Any advice on how to find a publisher for my 5 year old writer?

My son may not be a genius, but he certainly has an inspriring creative streak that I believe other children could benefit from. He began writing & illustrating some books that we would like to get published. These, obviously, are children's picture books with a Kindergarten reading level. I really have no idea where to start, so I thought I'd put this question out there and see what I end up with. Thanks in advance.
Answer
There are several companies that will "publish" your son's book for a fee. They're known as vanity press. I don't mean to sound cruel but no publisher is going to publish a 5 years olds work. If you're serious about it though I would try either vanity press or self publishing.
