I would be travelling to Kanyakumari on 4th Jan check in and 5th Jan 2012 checkout. Looking for the accommodation for 10 people in Vivekananda ashram. Can any body suggest the procedure for online booking as well availability of rooms during first week of January.

By what path will you achieve the company of God?

What is your preferred method of reaching the Lord?
Will it be through study of books and listening to lectures, using the reasoning mind?
Will you take the path of simple adoration, as a child adores his grandfather?
Will you reach that place by good works, or pure moral living?
Could simple kindness and love of others get you there?
None of this is "faith." Faith doesn't require any action, any concentration, any determination.
What plan of action will you implement in this very life to reach the company of the Beloved?

Vivekananda said if there are a thousand people there should be a thousand religions for every souls journey Home is unique just as each soul is a unique expression of God. The path is laid before us by that very uniqueness, its personaliy, tendencies, disposition and talents of which we all possess in one degree or another. The path Home opens wide when we discover those talents and tendencies within and then apply them toward awakening. Many find their talent and then squander it on the ego/mind.
You've said that Faith does not require action but Jesus differs on that point. He says that if there is no action as the result of ones Faith that Faith is dead and meaningless. Faith is the inner evidence of the Unseen but action is the outer evidence that it is seen. I know this from experience that it is not the breathing in and out that keeps us alive but the oxygen in the air we are inhaling.
I met a Christian couple through my work when I lived in New Mexico. They refused to budge from their couch except to do the very basics needed to stay alive, shopping or paying their bills. They said they were waiting on the Lord to take them and did not want to sin so refused to participate in the world. But I know this; when their Faith will be tested they will find it weak and insufficient to endure the onslaught. They are like little fish who, though already enclosed in the net, bury themselves in the mud thinking they have escaped being caught. When the net is dragged in they will be surprised. Only those wise in their Faith will act with vigor and jump over the net to safety.
So I use everything that comes my way as a bell of Dharma as the Buddhist put it. It does not come by doing and yet the doing must be done starting at the place you are and then to ever more subtle degrees until it is done at the most subtle and powerful of levels, that of Spirit.
