I want a book that is romantic, where i can imagine as if im the girl in the book. Romance and drama in one. I've already read The Notebook and The Fault in Our Stars. I love Nicolas Sparks and his books. They're amazing but I've read most of them like the last song, dear John, and the ones that have movies for them. Whats another book to read?

What types of books make the most money?
What kind of books (Romance, Satire, Young adult, Drama, Mystery etc etc) Make the most money? Does it vary through generations, or does it remain generally the same?
Answer
It's not so much the type of book as the subject matter and the way in which it is presented that make the most money. Right now in Christian literature "The Shack" is still basically the top book. In Secular, I believe the Twilight series might be the most popular, even with adults. BUT what you need to be asking yourself, if you are going to write a book is not "What is most popular, now" but "What will be popular by the time I finish this book I am writing." Then write on what you know best and weave it around what you think will be popular. In sending queries into book companies I do know what is NOT popular with them---they do not want anymore books with a "masonic-like" theme. To find the answer to the type of book you might consider what kind of "book clubs" there are out there. None of them are making huge sums at this time but if you go ahead and write it, things might be different by the time you are finished.
