greatest books 19th century image

George
Hey, I'm looking for some really intelligent books which would be interesting as well. What are some books, which have really rich vocabulary and are even hard to understand for some people. Could you advice me some good English books written in 18-19th century? By the way do you know which book has richest vocabulary? I'd like to find something written in such language as Frenkenstein by M.Shelley. Maybe there are other books where the language is so excquisite and rich and where you can find some old words which are no longer used today?

Book recommendation on 19th century history of the Northern Plains?

I'm interested in reading about 19th century history of the Northern Plains (Dakota Territory) in the U.S. Are there any newly published books out there covering this that you'd recommend?
Answer
Here's one you might find interesting. It's about a tornado that crossed Eastern North Dakota into Northwestern Minnesota in 1887, so ND was Dakota Territory yet. It's called "Reshaping the Tornado Belt." There's a lot of local history and background of what it was like to live then, so the book doesn't just focus on the tornado, and it contains many pictures and diagrams.
A real bonus is that the authors have put a ton of additional historical information on their website that's not included in the book, and even talk about other tornadoes from the 1880's that happened in the Northern Plains. I thought it was great. Check it out. You might like it too!
