greatest religious books image
Mr. E
Religious books do, but I'm looking for fictional books with a strong message or powerful feel to them that resonates and just makes you want to go out and change the world for the good.

The Kite runner by Khaled Hossieni sure left an impact on me. It's great and relates to Afganistan mostly, and is the story of Amir and his friend/servant Hassan. Its tragic, sad, suspenseful, horrifying and what not! Give it a read and you'll surely learn a lot!

Who here loves to read the written word?
Bobby Jack
I love to be taken of to a different planet when my heads in a book and to learn at my own pace while studying. The written word is powerful don't you think? Think the Bible and other religious books. Also the power Rupert Murdoch had throw the press and his newspapers. It, the written word gives you the power to live and learn, agree or disagree.
Lastly does the written word have to much power over people. Like all those great books, Harry Potter and Twilight series and so force.
Answer
Depends on how (grammatically) well the word is written. At times, it is Paradise. Others, it's like having your liver cut out with a spork.
