What is the children's book where a boy's dog dies?

I remember a book about a boy's dog that died. It's like a younger children's book like for K - 3rd grade. I think the boy was remembering the good times he had with her and at the end a neighbor asks him if he wants one of his dog's puppies and the boy decides he's not ready just yet for a new dog and gives him his dog's old bed.

It's not Ole Yellar or Where the Red Fern Grows. I'm just having the hardest time remembering that book!!

What are some good Drawing Books for Beginners?

My niece and nephew who are 5th & 6th graders and myself(12th Grade) would like to learn how to draw. What are some good updated drawing books that we can use.

The reason why I aksed was because, my 12 year old nephew likes to draw Dragon Ball Z, Sonic The Hedgehog and Boy Shows. And my 10 year old niece and myself would like to do Fashion Design(Everything from Shoes to Sunglasses to Clothes) She likes Bratz and things. I have some questions.

1)What are some basic books that will teach us how to draw?
2)Are there any Character Drawing Books
3)If a person has a Talent in Coloring very well what kind of job can they get with that?

1.) Can't say, any woudl work fine, but the best way is to draw a lot just yourself and random objects...

2.) For character drawing..."How to Draw Manga" books are awesome. I love them to death; they give such great ideas and such.

3.) Maybe in animation, they have a section for coloring in the drawings?
